Accommodations fell thru....now what?

Post by Iluvstjohn »

As I expected....and had posted about before....

We got word today from the guy we were going to rent our condo from at Sapphire that he sold his condo and the guy that bought it is not going to honor the rental agreements after june 1.......wonderful. Now what.

Maybe it's a good thing, as of all the bad press we heard...but now where are we going to stay?

Anybody have ideas? Villa? Resort? Family of 4, with 2 small kids ages 3 and 5....and granpa.....
oh phhhhhhoooooey........this stinks.

When are you going? Do you have your heart set on STT or will you consider St. John? I know this is an annoyance, but it's all part of the adventure of traveling. I'll bet that, in the end, you'll be glad for this mishap. At least you have a good story!

oh, we love st.john and have been there 5 times before and water island once too. We *thought* that staying right on the beach would be easier with the 2 kids....as well as having a restaurant to go to for granpa (or us after the kids went to bed to leave granpa with the kids). so Sapphire Beach looked to fit the bill...and well, that's a bust....

we need to sleep 5....2 or 3 bedrooms......a pool would be great to have with the kids....low 2000's would be great....since we probably lost the deposit as well....

SIGH......

Call Earnest at Secret Harbour and explain what happened. They may be able to accomodate you with a 2 bedroom that has a hide a bed sofa. It is right on the beach and they have a pool.

Try this place. It's right on the beach, has a pool, and you can rent as many rooms as you need. They all link together. Friends stayed there before and it's very nice. You can walk to Fungi's, for food and drink.

Good luck!

I'm really curious as to who you were renting off of and what unit it was at Sapphire.

If you don't want to post that on the board, could you pm me with the information.

I'm very curious about it.

Hi iluvstjohn,

Wow, what a bummer to have this happen. But there are plenty of other options...Secret Harbor, or how 'bout Mahogany Run, you can find lots of their condos on VRBO, how 'bout another place at Saphire??

We're staying @ Mahogany Run and the condo has awesome views, location is great and Magens Bay is real close, 2 pools onsite and if anyone likes to golf you'd be right there.

Not getting your deposit back is absurd!! Are you sure of that? Wow

Good Luck,
Kathy
