Travel Day and Final Thoughts
Travel Day and Final Thoughts
Saturday dawns and for the first time, Bruce the Evil Chicken does not appear. Too sad to say goodbye, perhaps?
We enjoy our final coffee on the beautiful deck of Vistaero.

We pack up our things, do a few loads of towels, load the Jeeps and head to JJ's for breakfast. This is my first time here, and I love a place where you can get a grilled cheese for breakfast!!
We do a bit of shopping and I get to meet Ruth (hi Ruth!) at her fabulous store. My brother and his fiance meet us in the park and we enjoy a last goodbye before heading over to the car barge.
The airport is amazingly empty!! We use a porter anyway, mostly because she was so darned nice when Tom was asking her for customs forms. She checked us in the airline and saw us all the way through to the security checkpoint. We were a few hours early for our flight, because others were leaving before us, so we enjoyed a few pina coladas in the airport bar and then we were on our way.
Final thoughts:
As with any group of 10 people, we had all been through some things this past year. We lost a dear mother/aunt, had some heartbreak, a little betrayal and a healthy dose of teenage pre-college angst.
Yet, as always, our time together on St. John eased the pain that we all shared and healed us with love, and laughter, family and song ... and rum
To me, that is the magic of this place.
Here's a link to all my photos. A warning - this is a compilation of 3 cameras, so the order is all jumbled and some of them are definitely NOT pretty

Hi Paula,
What a great TR, thanks so much for taking the time. I'm happy that you and your family had so much fun and that you're doing it again next year. Same crew or are ya adding more?
Especially enjoyed hearing how much you liked the villa. Hhhm, no Bruce on the last day...hope he didn't meet the butcher
Thanks again and I'll be in touch with many inquiries I'm sure
Enjoy,
Kathy
