Trip Report Last Day

Post by WSUbeachcoug »

Today is Friday April 11. Day of Woe
We finished our trip with Jumbie and Cinnamon Bay.
Loved both of these spots. Jumbie has alot to see snorkeling and beach wise. Cinnamon was really ruff and hubby took off and snorkeled all the way around island. Talked to alot of cruise people at Cinnamon.
Today we realize that this trip was not long enough.
We will need to come back and do waterlemon, salt pond, etc.
We loved this trip but these are the things I realize and hopefully will help others:
Rent in St John or parking will be impossible and you won't go out as much.
Truly you only need minimum clothing.
Get a porter at airport if flying on weekend.
Take home booze, it will make it.
Seven Days is not enough.
Take friends or loved ones, it just makes the trip better.
Once you go you will have a hard time adjusting when you come home, it's that perfect!
My husband and I have hectic lives and this exactly what we needed.
It is worth the heachache of flying.
Our trip home was from St Thomas to New York. We stayed overnight in mid town and walked Times Square
and took a carriage ride thru Central Park.
We flew from Newark on April 13th to Seattle with no problems.
Before we hit the ground in Seattle my husband was already talking about next trip.
We hope to return with sons and future daughter in laws. Thanks to everyone for there tips and stories.
We could not have done it without everyone here!!

Glad you enjoyed your trip. Yes, St John sure does make you want to share it with your loved ones, but it's great to be just the two of you as well! That just means more trips!

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I agree about traveling with your loved ones. Even though our kids are 20 & 10, they are great fun to party with too! I have a hard time imagining it any other way.

Just today, my daugher and I were busy congratulating ourselves over lunch on having less than 1 month to go till toes in sand and drinks in hand!

Thank you for the great trip reports! I agree with so much of what you said in the last installment. I also had a hard time adjusting to "home" when we got back. I was moving at such a slow pace compared to my co-workers and clients. Glad you loved STJ and the painkillers

Thanks so much for sharing the reports of your first trip. It sounds like you definitely enjoyed it and will be back! I'm sure your children will love it. My brother and his girlfriend, my husband and I and my parent's often travel together and have a great time. Enjoy planning your next trip!

You've got the fever now!

I remember being worried that I might have trouble convincing my wife we needed to come back after our first trip to STJ.

After about one hour on the island I knew there was no reason for my concern...

Glad you had such a great trip - I'm sure your pictures and stories will make it easy to talk your loved ones into joining you next time!
Come see us!
