Me, islandchef, and Dark&Diet with Burning Spear

This was Sunday right before the show at Festival International. It looked like rain before the show but it cleared up once they took the stage. Heres a couple more taken from backstage

It was a great great closer for the Festival.

WOWEE WOW WOW!

Lucky ducks...

I saw them in PR a few years ago. They only play a couple shows a year anymore, but one of my all-time favorite bands.

Awesome pics!

I had never heard of them before. We were all eating and we heard them playing and went over to check them out...great music.

Definitely gonna go on my St. John mix for the villa.

Thanks for the pix.

How fortunate you were. Thanks for sharing the pics. He's been a long time favorite of mine. We saw him live several times years ago and they were really remarkable shows. . He's one of the survivors of an era. I do like the earlier stuff more than the later---the "Marcus Garvey", "Garvey's Ghost" and "Man in the Hills" period. An alltime favorite album of mine is the "Live in Paris".

They were definitely in the groove at Jazz Fest. The crowd was getting actively relaxed. I can still smell it.

Burning Spear is way cool! Would've loved to have seen them too. During Summer season I have checked them out @ The Beachcomber in Wellfleet/lower Cape.
Great shots of them and you guys.

Kathy
