Walk or Ride?

Post by joanybelle »

These questions are for those familiar with Cruz Bay and can give directions/advice to a 1st time visitor to St John who happens to be "navigationally challenged". We are arriving in St John early in the evening and will be staying at Palm Terrace Villas. My husband & I have plans to scuba dive with Low Key Watersports the following morning. Our rental car will be picked up by others in our party AFTER the dive boat is scheduled to depart for diving. Now...my questions. How far and safe is the walk from Palm Terrace Villas to Low Key Watersports at 7:00 a.m? (We will be carrying our dive gear.) Or should we just arrange for a taxi? Where exactly is Low Key Watersports in Cruz Bay? Thanks.

Low Key is in the shopping area (Wharfside Village) right next to the ferry dock. I am not familiar with Palm Terrace Villa or its location so I cannot help you on whether or not to walk. That will probably depend more on the weight and/or bulkiness of the gear.

It is an easy walk, almost 10 minutes, but if your gear is too heavy it might be a pain. I am frugal (ok, cheap)so I would walk it.

Thanks! We will walk! I think we can manage carrying our gear that far. My husband can carry the heavier stuff. (It's not that heavy, just bulky)
