The changing face of STJ

New plans for the Mixology space. Another example of change that isn't improvement:

hmmm. Not sure what to say about that. I am thinking that will not go over well with island residents, both transplants and 'Bahn Here's.

Somehow I can't imagine that will ever pan out - maybe wishful thinking on my part tho :(

HUH?!? is right. That makes absolutely no sense. I have no problem with "establishments"... what's a golf trip without them? ;)

But in St John?!? Wouldnt you say 95% of the visitors are couples or families? I can see it now; honey, me and dave are going to run into Cruz Bay for some ice, see you in a few hours.

Who in the heck is going to work there? Are they going to import some talent? I had the impression St John locals were very very conservative.

This could bring some shady stuff reight into the middle of town.

Strange indeed.

There a few of these "strip" clubs in STT. They are usually frequented by the large Dominican Republic population on island, but I can not imagine there being a large enough population on STJ to keep a business like that above water and afford the rent.

It is extremely sad....will really hurt restaurants/business frequented by tourist families especially at night. The shady side of life that establishments like this usually draw will just make the whole area worse, not better.

I am kinda punchy right now and so many things going through my mind about this: (One of which is that it is just a rumor)

Don't you just hate it when other people steal your ideas guys?

Someone failed to inform them that the Milf bar idea was a joke.

Makes anger about the unimog and sirenusa seem silly.

The idea of a Starbucks on island is much less offensive now.

No one told them about the scantily clad women on all the beaches.

Seriously, I come to STJ because it is so different from your typical resorts and vacation spots, this makes it more of the same. :?
When will I see St John again?
