Directions to Casa Luna

Post by flip-flop »

Has anyone been there or know exactly where it is? I can't get my head around it. For me, using landmarks is best. Is it on Centerline? Or truly in Coral Bay. I have no idea where Carolina Ridge is...

You'd think I'd pay better attention, I have actually been to St. John, I swear :)

It's off Centerline. Coming from Coral Bay, there's a road that's marked "Upper Carolina" and "Majestic Mile" on the right. You head up, make like 2 or 3 switchbacks and it's up there. I guess that's considered Ajax Peak.

We met up with a family this past winter when we were there who have stayed there the past few years at Christmas time. They were a large group and said that after trying villa after villa, this one is the one that suits their needs and they will look no longer.

We have Casa Luna booked for June and are so excited. It at the top of the ridge so you have views over Coral Bay and to the BVI's. We stopped in back in January. It's just about to Coral Bay, but not quite. It looks very nice.

Flip - The roads aren't too bad at all - all paved. In fact, the family that was there in January had rented a mini-van from STT instead of a 4 wheel drive and they said they had no problems. So, we rented 2 mini-vans too - hopefully it will work out fine!

Tracy I hope I can count on you for some candid pictures and a trip report :) It really looks great, just would be a new area for us. I am just hell bent on avoiding the Cruz Bay - Chocolate hole area. Not because I don't like it just because we've been there done that ...

And because I spend 50% of my time on the beaches, 25% at the house and the other 25% typically eating and/or drinking in Coral bay!

It is making me crazy that I can't put my finger on it. I know it is on upper Carolina road. That probably doesn't help!

Hey Flip Flop,

We've stayed in Upper Carolina a few times. To get to Casa Luna you'll drive past the smoothie stand towards Coral Bay. Go a short distance, maybe 1 mile, there's a dumster on the left then a cluster of mailboxes turn left there, the sign reads upper carolina and I think Majestic Mile. Drive in there and you'll come to a switch back where if you turn left it puts you on Majestic Mile, but you'll stay straight onto Cereus (spelling?). I think Casa Luna is not to far down Cereus. We've stayed along Majestic Mile in Mayan Sky and further up at Carolina Villa. Just behind Carolina Villa is Luminara. Sherban I looked at your map and I think you have to go one more road down. The roads are easy driving and you're less than 10 minutes from Skinny's and about 10 minutes from Maho.

We stayed in Mayan Sky and really liked the Carolina Ridge area. When you see the road, you're going to slap your forehead because you'll recognize it.

When you're driving along to Coral Bay but way before Coral Bay, there's a nicely-paved road snaking up the hill on the left with a sign that says Upper Carolina.

It's really a great location, esp. for beach lovers.

Hallelujah she sees the light! NOW I get it. I found a better map!

10 minutes to maho, 10 minutes to skinnys. I am not in Vegas with Jorge but I am going all in!

Yay! I think we might maybe have a house.

Thanks all!
