Reef Madness

Post by jdw »

We are considering renting this villa for our 25th anniversary next year. I have seen several posts about the construction, location, etc. but I have not seen a report from someone who actually stayed there. Would love to hear pros/cons of this villa.

Thanks.

We're spending a week there in June. I haven't seen any reviews on it here or on Tripadvisor.

I'll let you know how it is after our June trip. It looks great.

jdw - I've stayed in Reef Madness many times but it wouldn't be fair for me to review it since it's my home. We've been anxiously awaiting reviews as well, but apparently none of our guests so far are forum members... Don't know if you've seen our blog, but we reprinted some e-mails we received from a couple of our first renters in December. They are here (at the December 6th entry):

Please feel free to PM me with any questions you might have...

I've been reading your blog and don't remember the email from guests.

A waffle maker! It looks like I now have to pack some Trader Joes's waffle mix. The place looks great. I'll post a trip review and report when we get back but we don't go until the end of June.

Something that was apparent when we were in Coral Bay in March - Reef Madness gets direct sunlight later than most of Coral Bay. This will make the pool much more enjoyable in the afternoon.

That's RM in the right-side at the top of the hill enjoying the sun while Coral Bay is already shaded by the mountain.

For me, that's a pretty big feature.

Thanks Rick. That is good to know. What time do you think that picture was taken?

How do you like the Coral Bay side? Did you miss seeing sunsets?
