Photos...March 2008

Post by JC »

It took a while...but the "Places & Tings" galleries of photos from our March 2008 trip are ready!

The first gallery is all Canon SD850 IS photos (for the camera buffs). Very random shots...don't miss the "Perfect Sunet" sequence! (I thought it was perfect...anyway!)

The second gallery is all Canon 40D photos...which is a new camera to me that am just learning how to use...*sigh*. I do love it...though. Most of the beach shots were taken the highest day of the North Swell...at least what I saw!!! Some really incredible high-water lines at Hawksnest...Gibney...Maho & Trunk! Also a few of Cruz Bay! Check out the webcam sandscrit "sandpad"! It really was amazing!

There are many  many photos. Perhaps I have a small obsession!?!?!?!?

"Faces" gallery soon come...

Enjoy!

these are fantastic! familiar sights but very unique angles. Good to see Tigger. That wasn't Tigger walking on the beach was it?

Absolutely great photos! I downloaded a couple; hope you don't mind! I like to think that even if I didn't take the photo, if I saw the same sight maybe it's not cheating too much to print someone else's photo? I have picture of Crabby's in my kitchen that a forumite sent me because I like it so much, and my shots just didn't turn out as well. (Total amature here.)

I love the "Please don't steal" sign on the boat!

Your shots with the SD 850 are proof that one does not need a lot of expensive equipment to capture a great photo. Every one I've see are keepers. One must be able to "see" the photo in their mind's eye and have the technological know-how to get it onto the medium they are using.

I haven't been able to look at all the SD photos and I can't wait to see the 40D shots. Thanks for sharing them with us.
