Do you get Lexington news? My darling husband was on the noon WLEXTV news and will be on again at 5 and 5:30 (wearing his Woody's T-shirt :D ) He was involved in a high speed car chase all over town this morning. Well, that sounds bad. He and a few of our neighbors spotted a guy trying to steal cars in the neighborhood. DH ended up chasing the car thief (who attempted to steal several cars, before getting away in a Mercedes SUV), while talking to a 911 dispatcher. They did eventually arrest the guy. Exciting morning for an IT guy.

Hi kygirl. I'm just now reading your post, but bayer told me about it yesterday. We've recorded it, but haven't played it back yet. I was busy all day yesterday getting ready to host my book club and didn't get to check out the forum after my a.m. peek.

When bayer told me about it, I thought maybe your hubby was a police officer. I pictured him in his patrol car wearing a Woody's shirt chasing a crazed criminal all over the county. I get it now.

He'll probably be signing autographs all day today. We'll be sure and check it out later.

Ha! Too funny! No, he's not a police officer.
Besides all the calls we received by people seeing the news or just word of mouth, I also received pm's from central Kentucky lurkers on this forum who saw it! I'd like to take a poll sometime and find out how many people read this forum from around here!

Good idea. We could have a Kentucky Forum Gathering sometime.

Of course you can!!!
We'll be here that weekend. We have kids' schedules to work around, but that's probably doable.
Anybody else around here that weekend?

kygirl - Maybe we should post something on the main forum and see if anyone's interested? :?:

Sounds good pjayer! I'm going to go do some work up at our neighborhood pool, but I will try to post it when I get back tonight, or atleast tomorrow.

Hi Coden. How are you? Getting together sounds like fun to us, too. Would you guys like to plan something in Louisville on Saturday, May 17 and give waterguy a big Kentucky welcome? Hubby and I don't have anything scheduled so far for that night.

Any other Kentucky lurkers out there??? Or perhaps some Hoosiers who aren't too far away from the Louisville area? Anyone else want to stand (or post) up and be counted?

I'm doing fine, thanks for asking! :)

Meeting Waterguy sounds great but I will be down in Tennessee that day. You all go if you can and tell me about it. I know you'll have a blast!

Maybe we could meet up at Mammoth Cave sometime this summer, how does that sound? Or somewhere else maybe?

Hi Coden! It's good to hear from you.
Sorry guys, I've been gone all day and I'm just catching up. It would be nice if we could find a time that weekend that everyone could make a gathering. It would be fun for us all to finally meet one another. We have a teeball and a baseball game on Saturday, but that looks like all at this point.
What about you all?
Anyone else?

Right now, we're open on that Saturday and can travel about anywhere...Lexington, Louisville, Midway, Shelbyville. We could even meet in Frankfort, although it's not a very exciting place. Pretty...just not very exciting. It makes no difference to us. If waterguy wants to join us, he is certainly welcome. It would be really nice to actually meet a few folks in person.

Waterguy...if you read this, are you interested? If so, what does your schedule look like and do you have transportation?

Sorry Coden won't be around, but Mammoth Cave is an interesting option. I haven't been there in years. Can we stay in the wig-wam village? :) We'll have to plan something a bit later that fits into her schedule.
