We, too, will be looking forward to your gorgeous photos & great trip report. We had hoped to maybe run into you both at Logan on Saturday morning - but, our AA flight to Barbados leaves at 5:45. A little earlier than your flight.

It seems so strange for us not to be spending our April vacation back "home" in St. John. So, we will be relying on you and others to continue to provide us our "fix" until 2009.

With only a couple more sleeps, we are actually getting quite excited about the new experience before us. (You will get a kick out of this - I sent an email to a recommended sports bar & got confirmation that we can continue our Celtic obsession on island. WooHoo!)

Again, wishing you both a wonderful trip!!

Hi Liamsaunt!

I also want to send my best wishes to you and John about having a wonderful trip.

And I want to say something else about your TR: Remember to relax! Don’t let your forum friend’s high expectations to a fabulous trip report and fantastic pictures have any influence on your vacation. Enjoy!

Hi Liamsaunt!

Have a great trip! Don't forget to look for interesting fish species or other reef creatures. If you see something exciting, please direct them over to Virgin Gorda for us to check out

Have a great trip, Liamsaunt. Soak up some sun, drinks, and eat lots of good food. (Since I keep up with your food posts, I know that's not going to be a problem.)

Hopefully we'll run into each other while we are there and I'll see you on-island in a couple of weeks!

Thanks for all the nice words guys! And I have not even left yet! (Well, my brain has, as my boss kindly pointed out to me this morning, but that is a different story...)

islandgirl, no, this is not the longest ever trip. That was June 2006, when we stayed for 21 days. We were hoping to extend again this year, but John has to go to London for work 2 days after we get back.

Sue, you will be halfway to Barbados by the time we get to the airport! :D I've wanted to go to Barbados ever since I was a kid and read The Witch of Blackbird Pond. One of these days...I'd be interested in hearing what you thought of the island once you are back. That's too funny about the Celtics. John got a slingbox for his laptop and I'm sure he'll be using it to check in on the green team (I'll be floating in the pool).

I hope to see lots of you on the island soon! :D

Have a fun-filled trip.

I, too, was always captivated by the idea of Barbardos because of that "Witch of Blackbird Pond" book as a child. !

If you're looking for a fun catamaran sailing/snorkeling trip, check out the Heatwave.

We had a large party that privately chartered it for a sunset cruise one year, and my wife and I just did the normal daytime trip another time, and it was a blast both times!
Come see us!
