Live TR ~ Day 5
Live TR ~ Day 5
Day 5 ~ Wednesday, April 23
Coffe on the deck as usual. It's a great way to start the day.
We packed up and headed to Gibney. This is my favorite beach just for the shear beauty alone. We arrived by 9am and 2 other cars had already beaten us there. We found a spot and unpacked.
Mr. Bug, D and I headed right out for our first snorkel on the left side. The fishies were good to us. They came right out and said hello. D was just amazed at the what he was seeing. By the end of the snorkel I successfully found 3 turtles and 1 ray for him to see. He was in awe. When we got back to the beach he told P that she had to try it again. She was a little apprehensive.
We opened a few drinks and relax on the beach for awhile. Soon the guys were ready to try the right side. They went off and P waited to they were gone. She put on her gear and just floated out in the shallows to try to get the hang of it. She succeeded and was ready to go. When they came back, her and D headed back out. She loved it.
At 1:30 we grabbed our stuff and left for lunch. We still haven't been to Woody's so it was an obvious choice. I had the Grilled Shrimp and Pasta Salad. Mr. Bug had the Mahi Mahi Sandwich and Fries. D had the Conk Fritters and P had a salad. Jeffery came over and gave P & I some tattoos. He was great.
On the way back to the car, we stopped and picked up the hook bracelet that we ordered for Mr. Bug. I was lucky, he saw a gold heart hook that he liked for me and got me it. What a lucky girl I am!
We arrived at Bongo to relax and clean up a bit before dinner. We had reservations for 7 at Shipwreck. This is Mr. Bug and I's favorite place so we were happy.
Shipwreck's was awesome. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the music. You can't beat it. I asked for Pat but she wasn't there (sorry to miss you Pat). We enjoyed the rest of the night there and headed back to the villa for a early sleep. Life is good

The epic adventures of “Bug’s & Crew” continue…..
As we left off – Capt. Stu returned all the “checked” livers to our castaways upon arriving back on St. John. As the sun rises over Bongo Bongo the next day – the crew awakes ever so slowly. Eyelids working – check, heart beating – check, liver working – maybe, brain there – oh my, how that hurts. They think to themselves – maybe I shouldn’t have had that 9th 7 Rum Surprise. But our crew is tough and they will press on regardless.
They decide that today will be “Limin at the Villa” day as they float in the shark infested pool waters of Bongo Bongo.
The next day – fully rejuvenated, our crew heads out to the “Father of the Atom Bomb Beach” – better known as Gibney Beach which is Bug’s favorite (mine too). They relax under the swaying palms and look at over the crystal clear waters and think – how lucky are we.
Bug’s and D grab their snorkel gear and go in search of Fish, Turtles and Rays. Could this be tonight dinner instead of Beef, Pig or Chicken. In the mean time, P gives snorkeling another shot. The shy kid inside her looks around to see if any one is watching. Nope – and it’s a mad dash to the water. She gets the hang of it and is now hooked.
As the day comes to an end – we find our crew relaxing at the famous Shipwreck – enjoying the food, music and drinks.
Oh – how this writer wishes he could be a member of this crew. Bug’s & Crew are making memories of a life time – cheer, cheer say I.
The “Forum Family” waits anxiously in the hallways of this forum to see what Bug’s & Crew do next.
Have a great time guys – I’m enjoying reading your reports. Hope you don’t mind that I’m doing my own rendition of your trip.
