Who has the best happy hour?

Post by Jimm »

What bar(s) on St. John have the best happy hour? If you have any details as to what makes it the best that would be great, such as start and end time and drink specials.

Woody's world famous happy hour - 3-6 every day - $1 beers and $1 off frozen drinks - you just can't beat it! Check out the pics on their website - it can get wild: http://www.woodysseafood.com/

My opinion....They all have liquor so they're all good! I've never really seen "Happy Hour" specials except at Woody's. When you're on St. John every hour is a happy hour!!!!! :D :D :D

Jimm, define "best" happy hour. Is it how long it lasts? the price of the drinks? the amount of body shots given? I'm sort of with bevm....every hour on St. John is a truely "Happy" one!! LOL....

Other than that, I really couldn't say which one is better than another.....but I'll try to determine that in July when I'm there!!

Whoever opens earliest!

I lean towards the Tap Room. They do discounts from 4PM to 6PM. They also have a coupon.

We like to get to Woody's just before the happy hour bell so that we can call our friends back home (usually when they are at work) and they can hear it ring. We're evil, I know...

We're more of the rawhide types. There's nothing like calling Big Red and leaving the whole song on his voicemail. He knows exactly what's going on.

Seriously, you know the best happy hours are watching the sunset from the villa with all of your forum friends. Have you noticed that a liter of Mount Gay makes exactly ten Cuba Libres? Just line the glasses up...

Our friend Chambo also knows. He usually responds with something like "Yeah, real cool guys..." 8)

Elisa---That was my trip report. Yes, the pour your own drink thing at Larry's is true. It was pretty lively the nights we were there, but it was later in the evening and they had bands on those nights. Don't know how it would be at other times.

On the opposite end of the spectrum from Larry's, there are a couple of restaurant bars that are worth a mention for happy hour----The Balcony and Zozo's---both with great sunset views. No drink specials though----need to go to Woody's for that. And of course the BB has a nice sunset view and cheaper drinks.
