We booked Allesandra after visiting MrB and MrsB in November. My favorite layout so far with a full sunset view. We'll be there, overlooking SOTB, in November.
That being said, there are a bunch of villas that I have really enjoyed over the years for various reasons: Hart Bay Beach House, Periwinkle, Cruz Views, Sunset Beach, Jazz Villa, Maho Bay Campground, Caribe Villa (Peter Max House), Tamarind Court, Cocotier, Callaloo, Eaglesnest, Bay House.
Hmm, I think I'm easy to please. I like where ever I'm at.
Cheers, RickG

Right now it is Alesandra for personal reasons and the view is to die for. I like Beach Music formely
Cygnus Love being able to walk down and snorkle chocolate hole. La Papaya is great.

we must have the sunset/stt lights and expansive water views. since we haven't had benefit of sharing villa costs with with anyone on most of our trips, we tend to go for the moderately priced villas. none luxury but all have great views. we would gladly go back to any and all:
sundance - twice
moonsong - twice
temptress
treasure ridge
oh i almost forgot, cloud 9, 4times. she must be our favorite. still working on list of comparables with easier access to north shore; bride's cartripfobia is starting to get on my nerves.
peace,
papabou

Our all time favorite is Casa Del Sol but as Wanda said - it's off the market. We stayed there at least 5 times - this was the villa where our wedding reception was in 2001. We've also stayed at the following:
Kismet - Gorgeous! Stayed for our friends wedding.
Las Brisas Caribe - beautiful but view from pool was lacking
Villa Caribe - sister of Las Brisas in Virgin Grande- very tasetefully done
Cruz Views - great for just the two of us!
Gallows Point - very well taken care of and great views
Bongo Bongo - loved it - one of our top villas!
Reef Bay View - loved hearing the sound of the waves in the a.m. and the location
Timeout - great villa for 2 couples
Next month we're staying at Villa Tesori and Perelandra - can't wait!

favorite villa?
What a fun topic! I love reading about everyone's favorite spots to stay! Pretty much the entire island of St John is paradise, so a fantastic villa on the island is just like sweet icing on a cake!! I checked with my hubby and our top two would be Morningside (for larger groups) and Perelandra (for smaller ones)! We have only stayed at Morningside once, but we'd love to return sometime. We have been really fortunate to stay at Perelandra a number of times and kinda feel like, "why mess with a good thing?!"

Good topic. We've stayed at:
Monte Bay (best waterfront villa) (tie for best outdoor porch with Indigo);
Coco de Mer (best view---classic north shore vista);
Indigo (best decorated villa, by far) (tie for best outdoor porch);
L'Autre Monde (most romantic villa---unfortunately no longer rented);
Villa Panache (doesn't win any single category, but a great house all-around; runner-up in view and decor);
Plumeria;
Gallows Point (3 times) (my favorite choice for 2 people);
Caneel Bay--(once)(my favorite choice for 2 people if I had more money to spend); and
Westin (twice)(good choice for younger kids).

I've only been to St. John three times, so my list is short.
*The first trip hubby and i stayed at Caneel and then Honeymoon cottage out by Francis. It was cute and modern, but no draft. bad mosquitoes, and we got lazy with having to commute. (we live in the country in texas and the last thing we wanted to do was commute on vacation).
*Second trip just my six year old and I and stayed in room 148 at Caneel. Extra large room and one of the cheaper rooms!
*Third time whole family and Terrahawk was perfect. Close to town, on the northshore, could walk to Gibney. This where we will rent till the kids are old enough to be at Kallaloo next door with a pool.

We've been to St John six times. Each time a different villa. I think that so far Rendezvous on Klein Bay is my favorite. Jazz Villa, where we stayed the following year has the exact floor plan and large pool was also nice. Andante by the Sea was great. And Dream Come True was a nice waterfront villa on Devers Bay. I loved being able to snorkel in the front yard. Would not recommend theother two so I won't mention them. This June we will be at Sapphire Breeze. I hope we will like it. But we'll be on St. John so it would have to be pretty bad for me not to enjoy.

My favorite? The only one I've stayed at because I've only been to St John once ... so far!
Villa South Palm
Great layout with 4 identical-sized bedrooms, lots of balcony (covered) and pool deck space with a decent sized pool (22' long x 15' wide x 5' deep). Wonderful Great Cruz Bay views from the great room, the balcony and the pool deck ... making for incredible sunsets.
Would love to try some others, but loved this one.
