We are home from STJ!!!

Post by Coden »

Hey there, Gang!! We got home today, at around 1 PM, and I am whipped. Thank goodness I don't go back to work until Tues. because I just couldn't do it!! :)

We had a wonderful, wonderful time and I will start on my trip report tomorrow. This was one of our best vacations ever!!! 8)

One of the best parts was seeing a turtle at Salt Pond. What a thrill that was. And so unexpected, too. Of course I didn't have our camera with me. But that is okay, I saw the turtle and I swam with the turtle and that is all that matters!! :D

I also saw about 15 Big starfish at Water Limon...man, was that cool. It made the hike well worth it for sure! And, of course I didn't have our camera with me, again! But, rest assured, we did get lots of great underwater pics. The Rainbow fish are beautiful.

I can honestly say that I walked a lot on this vacation, and loved every minute of it, too!! Oh, and I survived driving on the Left! Woo-hoo!! My husband drove the 1st half of our stay and then I took over. Even survived driving in Cruz Bay with all of the people and cars. Nary a scratch! :)

Glad to be home, just because, you know, it is always good to get home. But STJ is a magical place and we can't wait to get back!

Hey Pia!! It was so great to have met you while we were there. I just wish we had had more time to visit. Our days were gone before we knew it. The day goes by quickly when you are trying to do two beaches a day. You and your hubby are so sweet and we enjoyed our short visit with you at Sweet Plantains. (((HUGS))) until the next time!

Xislgrl - It was great!! Thanks for the well wishes! :)

Welcome back. Glad that you had such a good time. You've got the STJ fever now. Have to try Sweet Plantains the next time we're there. We can see it from the boat and remember when it was Seabreeze. Glad that some one has made a go of it.

Isn't it an amazing island? And it's fun writing the trip reports and re-living everything you did. Looking forward to reading them and happy new year!

Righteous, we missed Waterlemon on this last trip. To far to carry beer and Granddaddy. He don't like piggyback so much. I can picture the trail out and that beautiful shallow bay on my left.

Pictures, pictures, nudge, nudge, wink, wink!!

Cheers, RickG

Rick G - I have my photo's in a folder now, and am waiting on my son to bring his. His are all of the underwater pics. Pics to soon come! :)

CaGirl - My packets worked out great!! So much easier than fumbling for the right amount of money. One thing that I've always done is to also have a "pad". This is either to have extra $1's & 5's in the same area, either in an envelope or just papercliped. This way, if I've calculated wrong, I can just pull from there.
