? for Xislandgirl re: Chicken Pizza

Post by Tracy in WI »

Hi X -

I saw the On StJohn villa vittles and saw that they served the your Chicken Satay pizza about 5 hours after it was made. I am thinking of making it for a potluck in a few weeks. Do you think it is as good when it sits out a while? Or should I PM Liamsaunt for some suggestions! :D

Thanks!

I served them a few hours after I but I did warm them up a bit first.
The are good room temperature, but I really prefer them a little warm. I cooked them ahead of time and cut them and then slid them on a cookie sheet to warm them a bit before serving.
They are good at room temperature, but I do not like them out of the fridge cold.
Hope that helps!

They were good! I would think they'd be okay warmed up a little or even at room temperature, but not cold. I think you should try it. No need for the Liamsaunt Emergency Hotline this time.

Thank you lovely ladies! I appreciate your help with this. I will try the pizzas and let you know how it goes - it is for a teacher appreciation potluck at my son's school. I wouldn't want to kill any of them - well, maybe just one or two....

Tracy,

Teachers are jealous of people who get to "go out" for lunch in the real world. We'll eat anything someone brings into school--even if it's poisoned. It could mean a day or two of vacation away from the little darlings :)

I totally agree with you but as a Mom, I feel it is my "duty" to keep my little darlin' at school as long as possible! Summer is coming too soon for me! I love his teachers!

Your comment was so true and so funny! Thanks!

I get that! I was the school secretary for 4 years until my daughter graduated last May. Kids would come in every day with some kind of sickness. After the first year or so, I kept secretly wishing I'd catch something so I could stay home too.

And, I must have gained about 15 or 20 pounds during that time. Every day, I would hear, "Mrs. Ayer, would you like a (choose an occassion/holiday) cupcake, cookie, candy, cheese, etc. How could I say no to those sweet little innocent faces?
