Trip Report, VG part III, with pics
After a restful night (no creepy-crawly dreams) we awoke to a beautiful sunny morn. Here's the view from the villa pool deck, looking out on the entrance to the North Sound:
We spent many hours lazing beside the pool gazing out at the beautiful sailboats as they glided past.
One afternoon we were entertained by a kiteboarder.
We did not encounter anymore spiders or infestation during the rest of our week. (just those pesky skeeters)
I suppose we flushed all the vermin out during that first frightful night.
Here's another photo of the North Sound, you can see Prickly Pear on the left and Saba Rock to the right of it and the Bitter End on the right:
Probably our favorite beach was Savannah Beach, it was usually desserted, the most we ever saw there was one or maybe two couples. The first visit we enjoyed a snorkel but during subsequent visits the seas were too rough to snorkel.

Of course we went to the world famous Baths and also Spring Bay. We encounterd a nekkid guy at Spring Bay. The guy had no towel, no suit or clothes of any kind and apparently no modesty. When we arrived he was swimming amid the boulders and soon exited the water to sunbathe, after lounging in the sand awhile, he took to walking up and down the beach. He appeared to be alone. Sorry, no photos of nekkid guy.

Some of the restaurants we tried:
The Flying Iguana, not my cup of tea;
The Coppermine, amazing views, great sunset, food was just okay;
Top of the Baths, staff very friendly, nice breeze, food was just okay;
Nail Bay, very nice staff, good food at a good price.
Leverick Bay Terrace, very attentive wait staff, excellent ambiance, live piano music, good food, high prices, we ate dinner here two or three times.
Leverick Bay Friday night Beach BBQ, quite a spread, quite tasty, good entertainment and alot of fun.
The power outages continued the first three days of our stay, it would go out in the mornings and also in the evenings. Then magically on the fourth day, it stayed on and never went off again. The roosters around the villa and resort did not start their morning crowing until about 10:30 or 11 every day. I guess they were on island time as well.
We spent a very relaxed, unhurried week on Virgin Gorda. A couple of days villa gravity set in and we were just plain lazy. We did enjoy the pool immensely.
Sadly, Saturday moning and time to depart arrived too quickly.
We were originally going to catch the 8:30 a.m. ferry back to St Thomas and try to get the 11:00 ferry to St John from there. But decided 8:30 was too early and why not catch the 10:30 to Tortola and then go directly to St John from there. Why go all the way to St Thomas?

Thanks for including pics in the report - it brings a nice visual.
I'm a fan of Top of the Baths. A swimming pool at a restaurant/bar? I like it! Is that little shack still next door with great pina coladas, Mad Dog? In 1996 I was on a solo trip and fell asleep on their front porch for two hours. I woke up and my drink was melted - tragedy!

Ahhh...Mad Dogs with that cute West Indian architecture, 4 sided porch with the comfy seats, dart board, $6 sandwiches, ice cold Caribes, beautiful flowers blooming nearby...heaven.
