My husband wears a NRS rashguard and he's happy with it. It's not loose fit but not awfully tight either though the description says "form-fitting design". He doesn't like his rashguard to be too tight or too baggy and this feels right for him. He got it in one size larger to ensure a comfortable fit.

I've been wearing a rashguard mainly for sun protection, for that it works great, and partly to keep me warm(er), for that it only works a little. For our upcoming trip to STJ, I bought a shirt that looks like a rashguard but is made of thin (0.5 mm) neoprene to keep me warm in the water. I'm hoping that I will be able to snorkel longer.

Are you kidding me? If you wear something like this chicks will be all over you!! Or vice versa! Seriously they look and feel like the Under Armour that all the kids are wearing. Only these have the UV protection. Find one with a high rating (50+)

We just bought Under Armour Heat Gear shirts at Bass Pro Shop. They are 30+UPF.

We are taking back a Body Glove shirt that we bought for our grandson because it is bright yellow. The evening after we bought it we saw on Mythbusters that the idea that sharks go after yellow was plausible. They had different colored targets filled with fish and the yellow target got chewed on the most. YIKES!

I've heard the phrase: "Yum, yum, yellow".

See, they must have been chick sharks!! That's interesting. Makes sense since fish are attracted to different colors based on water conditions, sunlight, time of day, what zodiac sign you are, etc.. As a fisherman that is all true! We never lie!! Ok maybe the zodiac part. Fish are more into modern religions!

And Claire is selling Onehornbuttfish rash guards for adults and kids at St. John Kids.

We purchased ours at isnorkel.com - http://www.isnorkel.com/category-exec/c ... sun-shirts. They have both tight and loose fighting ones. Make sure you get the ones with UPF 50 - for they do also have ones with only UPF 15. Our order was shipped very quickly. Very pleased with them.

Ruth~
Thanks for the info about the shirts at St John Kids. Our grandson liked the yellow shirt so much we decided not to take it back. He can wear it in the villa pool. We do want to get another one for him and I think the onehornedbutfish one sounds unique.

BTW, the grandson plays guitar. Actually he is pretty good for a 12 yr old. I think he might miss his Gibson while we are there. Is there any place we might rent a guitar on STJ, or should we look into carrying it on the plane?

One of the catering companies claims to handle unusual requests, perhaps they could roust up an axe for your grandson...
