Daysail without going to the BVIs

Post by nothintolose »

Some friends of mine are honeymooning on STJ next in a couple of weeks and want to do a daysail but stay in US waters and they didn't get their passports.

Any suggestions?

They may want to do a sunset sail also...not sure which.

Thanks in advance,
nothintolose

p.s. not sure they even want to snorkel as much as be on the water

Remember they do not need a passport to go to the BVI's if they arrive by water - that opens up alot of options for them :)

Hubby and I did a charter around the island. It was great! We've done both a power boat charter (Flyaway Charters) and a sailing charter (no longer in business).

Most of the sailing charters do a day around STJ. Capt Phil does a snorkeling charter around STJ.

We did not need our passports when we went out with Captain Phil. He took us around Great St. James.

I recommend Long Distance...they sail out of Coral Bay and do not leave US waters...had an excellent time on their boat and great snorkeling.

We did a 1/2 day sail around Christmas cove with Bread on the Water and loved it. We've done a couple of whole day trips to the BVIs and loved those too!

Most captains are pretty creative with coming up with options that you are comfortable with. STJ itself can offer plenty to do for a daysail.

Thanks everyone - passed it on. Pia, do they need their birth certificates or just a driver's license?
