you can't bring it as a carry on on STT because the store is out side the TSA zone you can check it. or if you stop in SJU you can by from the duty free and carry on
You can check it or put it in your baggage. There is a restriction on high-proof alcohol due to flammability. This is not consistently applied (absinthe never seems to be a problem), but 151 proof rum is a no-no. Some airlines will not allow opened bottles either.
Rick---I just find it interesting that you seem to have brought absinthe on a plane on multiple occasions. I've always thought that one bottle of that stuff lasts a lifetime.
Last year we checked our 12 as luggage and it made it home just fine. Be sure to tell the store that you are checking it as luggage as opposed to bringing it onto a ship.
BTW, AA did not count it as a part of our checked luggage limit.

Not a life time, but the scars will last forever if you do the flaming presentation with sugar cubes and absinthe spoon, but don't let your glass cool off. I did find out that absinthe and boiling oil fondue are not the best mixes. I think I'll take mine Czech style from now - neat with an ice cold glass of water (no ice) on the side - no flame or sugar.

Rick---Just don't get too close to any knives while drinking absinthe. It has sometimes been speculated that Van Gogh cut off his ear after his usual overconsumption of this potent substance.
