Place to have lunch in Charlotte Amalie

Anyone know a good place to have lunch in Charlotte Amalie, while we are waiting for the BVI ferry? Would be nice if it's within walking distance from the ferry terminal.

I'm just looking for something affordable, with decent food and possibly a drink to celebrate that we have arrived to the islands.

Any suggestions appreciated.

We like Cuzzins. The portions are big and its tradtional island food. Gladys' Cafe gets a lot of recommendations as well. Both of these are walkable from the BVI ferry terminal. I would want to have a minimum of 90 minutes and preferably 2 hours for this.

If you have less time,at the BVI ferry terminal the upstairs bar/restaurant has some good/interesting food items. I had a great Bull's Foot soup there with home made dumplings.

The Petite Pump Room, right at the terminal, is a good place.

We would probably have about 2 - 2,5 hours.

I forgot to tell you that we arrive on a Sunday. Does that mean that any of the restaurants you're suggesting, is closed?

I agree that Gladays is a great choice. Another good choice tha tis within walking distance is the Greenhouse. If you get a table by the front I think you can see the ferry dock.

The Greenhouse was a restaurant I have been recommended before I wrote this question. Good with a second recommendation.

That gives us couple of options, which is very good.

First I got annoyed that we would have to wait so long for the ferry, but then I realized that we would be hungry when we arrive and need food anyway. Since we are going to Virgin Gorda, it will take a while before we get anything more to eat.

Love Gladys' - air conditioned, yummy eats and they sing! What more can you want.

Gladys may even do Sunday brunch
and she does sing which makes the dining experience even more fun.
She is usually behind the bar, just chattin with everyone......
Make sure if you go, try her hot sauce!!!

We really enjoy Coconuts (http://www.coconutsvi.com) quick service and reasonably priced, the coconut shrimp is a must have

If you stand with your back against the ferry terminal, should you go to the right or to the left?

There is no ferry terminal in town you just debark onto the apron around the harbour but walk left along the waterfront and you will see The Greenhouse just before the Harley Davidson shop, you can't miss it.

There actually IS a BVI ferry terminal with customs. There is no ferry terminal for the STJ ferry.
