Mini-break: A few quick photos!

Post by lark22 »

I never got around to writing a trip report for our December trip, but I thought I'd post a few quick photos from that visit. I love looking at other people's photos, so I thought I'd reciprocate!

the rainy shot is of Cinnamon, from the water. I actually don't mind getting rained on if I'm in the water – the minute I get out, I hate it!

Great shots!! I tried and tried to get a hummingbird shot......never could, how did you manage to get that one?

What kind of camera did you use? Very nice stuff! Thanks for sharing!

I brought out the big gun for that one...my Nikon D2X. Even so, it's still not totally sharp....those guys are FAST. It would be pretty close to impossible to catch a hummingbird with a point-and-shoot, I think... Both bird shots were taken with the D2X, the rest were with my Fuji F30, which I love!

Probably a stupid question, but how do you post a photo with your post? And how do you post an image that comes up each time you post to represent you? thanks for any info..... Great shots by the way! We're going in late May, can't wait....

Well, not pretty close to impossible......it is impossible to capture those little hummers with the point and shoot. Problem is, I only carry the small Canon when I go on vacation. I used to carry my big guns, but the baggage limitations sort of cut me off. Maybe I can just beg you to let me have a copy of the Hummingbird........plllleeeease?

O.K. enough groveling...nice shots Lark! You a photog in real life?

Great shots! Thanks for sharing.

The blue spotted guy is a juvenile Yellowtail Damselfish.

What is your underwater set-up?
