Maybe he's seeking out a new church?

Just sayin'...

Without getting into a political debate, I am fairly sure that he is enjoying a bit of well deserved downtime in the islands with his family.

Is he really in the islands?

I used to work on campaigns, and we pretty much didn't rest until November.

Apparently he's pretty confident that he's got this shored up, or he wouldn't be taking some R&R.

Thank god my next trip down there is the week after the elections. Sounds like I'll need it.

I just saw this article online:

Obama in US Virgin Islands
Mon Mar 24, 12:50 PM ET
Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama is spending some down time in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Obama was keeping such a low profile that his presidential campaign would not say where he is staying, and local officials were also mum. An official at Government House in the capital, Charlotte Amalie, would only confirm that Obama was in St. Thomas, the most populated island. Tourists said they spotted him on the beach Sunday.

The Illinois senator is popular in the U.S. Virgin Islands, which in February gave him three delegates in the race for the Democratic nomination. Rival Hillary Rodham Clinton did not win a delegate at the caucuses. Six superdelegates will go to the August national convention; four have backed Clinton and two have endorsed Obama.

at least he's not bringing the entourage and photog. to st. john... keep the press away as much as possible...keep st. john tranquil.

EDIT: then again, i'm sure that everyone would like the money that barack & co would bring.... so i'm torn...

Actually, one of those photogs do vacation on St. John every year. Good for him, it has been a difficult campaign for both Clinton and Obama and the press! Usually by now we know who will be on the ticket.

Yes, it's reported to be The Ritz. He played golf at Mahogany Run today.

I'm thinking that the rigors of the campaign trail may have interrupted Obama's workout routine...hence no naked pecs this time.
