Costa Rica

Post by chrisn »

There was a post about CR a while back but I could not find it and I can't make the search engine work for me.

We are considering an X-mas trip there and would love to get any feedback or direction (forums, tips, etc.) I can get. Thanks.

Chris,

We went to Costa Rica in Feb 2007.

What are you looking for? All-inclusive lay by the pool and beach? Eco-tour? Small hotel, rustic-type experience?

Adventure! We are thinking 2 nights at the volcano and 5 nights by or in that park. Jungle stuff, river runs, etc. My peeps are all about adventure, me I'd rather be baking on Hawksnest but always willing to try something new! Nice accomodations, but not AI or the Ritz. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks for your input!!!

Hmmm. . . afraid I can't help you specifically with that area. We flew into Liberia and spent our time down on the Nicoya peninsula (Montezuma, Tambor, Curu).

I did find a forum that might help: http://www.infocostarica.com/cgi-bin/forum/Ultimate.cgi Click on the Travel to Costa Rica link.

I can tell you that if you need private transportation or a tour guide, Central American Tours (CAT) is top-notch. Good vehicles and their guides are knowledgeable and speak English well.
