This happened to us back in January. However, we weren't told that our direct, nonstop flight would be stopping in San Juan to refuel until just before takeoff. It delayed us more than an hour. It was the same thing, though, fuel shortage on STT.

Our friends took the 3:00 Delta flight from STT yesterday and it went directly to ATL, so maybe not every flight is affected.

I'm on the Delta 3pm in 4 1/2 weeks. My connection in ATL is only 35 minutes. I sure hope we don't get diverted!

Just walked in the door- we ended up fueling in Ft Lauderdale- plane was 1 hour late leaving STT and then we stopped for about 30 minutes- and got to ATL at 9 instead of 7- almost everyone missed their flights- not alot of complaining though- we had to get bags and drive 2 hours and I am so tired but the most ridiculous thing was we waited for an hour at baggage claim for our bags and then asked someone and he scanned the clains ticket and said-they were over against the wall- we were so mad-not sure how long they had been there-only about 10 bags b/c others had connecting flights-

I think terrible trips home are designed that way to make you glad to be home after leaving idyllic St. John! LOL! Glad you're home safe n' sound! I've enjoyed your on-the-spot reports! 8)
