Southern Cross Villa Questions..
Hey everyone,
First post to the forum, but I have enjoyed reading for the past year. I've been to St. John a few times now (staying at Westin Villas). I'd like to move away from the resort experience, and try something different. Learned about Southern Cross from a dinner at the Lime Inn. Seems like a good value, and a very nice place for a large group. Problem is, I never see any reviews or posts. Can anyone share some thoughts? Are there other similar villas that I should be looking at? Please let me know.

I had some friends on island for Thanksgiving last year, and they stayed at Southern Cross.
I loved it, and they did too. The pool is great - nice and big, great view [boats coming and going]. It was private and quiet. The driveway was easy and a short distance from Cruz Bay. Kitchen was well equipped, we had Mathayom Private Chefs (http://www.stjohncatering.com)cook a fantastic 3 course dinner for us all. The kitchen is open to the great room and dining area... so it was nice to have the chefs in the kitchen and the music playing and cocktails in the great room / deck.
Nice and breezy all the time and the bedrooms were all nice and private.
A great villa for friends traveling together.
There was a house nearby that was under construction at the time. It wasn't loud, I just remember them doing a lot of stone work. It's quite possible that is finished by now.
Hope this helps, let us know if you have questions about anything specific.

southern cross

We stayed at Southern Cross on two occasions a few years ago and quite liked it. I believe you may have heard about it at the Lime Inn because it is owned by the owners of Lime Inn. I think it is also rented by Seaview Homes and they actually have an on island presence. My only reservation may be that I had heard that construction on the Pond Bay condominium project had now begun in Chocolate Hole. Perhaps someone on island would have better information regarding this but I would certainly ask the rental agent.

Yo...We have her booked from June 15 to the 21st. Inspected it a couple of years ago and finally will be enjoying it. Mark of Seaviewhomes.com also rents it for Christine Myer the owner. She is one of the owners of The Lime Inn. Nice lady. Mark is a long time islander who will take great care of you. God bless...Bill
