Calypso del Sol

Post by Jody H »

We rented Calypso del Sol in the summer of 06. We enjoyed working with Lisa and like everyone else have begun receiving correspondence form the owners. Although we loved most of the amenities of Calypso del Sol, we did not rent it last summer because of a bug issue in one of the bedrooms and the new construction on Chocolate Hole. However, we did use Vacation Vistas again and were very pleased with their attentive service :)

Hi, all-

Thanks for your interest and kind words about Calypso del Sol. Thought I'd respond to your questions...to reassure you that Calypso is STILL wonderful and will still be in GREAT hands.

First, our new managers will be Nancy and Ernie Clendinen, who have taken care of our other villa in Coral Bay -- La Bella Villa -- for 3+ years. They too are pros. They manage about 8 other villas and are very experienced and very VERY focused on making guests comfortable and happy. We know them and their quality of attention well. You'll love meeting them -- and they'll provide AT LEAST the same great level of support and service! They'll take over from Lisa shortly...with pickups, maintenance, cleaning, and everything that makes staying at a St. John villa so great. There will be no problems or gaps...not in June or any other time! We're sure of that!

Second, we ARE taking bookings directly at www.CalypsoDelSol.com and love "meeting" people
when making reservations. You can also book Calypso through VIVA!(vivacations.com), VillaFish (VillaFish.com), and the LoveCityVillas Web sites.

Third, in my "biased opinion", among the great advantages of Calypso (in addition to the screened porch) are WiFi, access to town but on quiet Chocolate Hole, a great well-stocked kitchen for group cooking, a hot tub, and a nice/large pool...unusually large for this size villa. We REALLY work to keep everything in top shape, which fortunately requires periodic visits to check things out. (smile)

More questions? Please just respond or email. We'd love to have you stay with us!

p.s. more photos are on the VIVA Web site

We stayed at Calypso del Sol the last week of May '07. We loved the villa & would definitely stay there again. I agree with CariBert & the owners on the great amenities of the villa, and will add that the villa is very easy to get to -- no scary driveways. The full house a/c, screened porch, upper & lower level porches, pool, hottub, roomy bathrooms & showers, safe, washer & dryer were all great. It is a very comfortable villa. We also received the letter from the owners stating the change in management and it would not deter me from renting it again.
