Astral villa, Villa Ventosa, Villa Ellison
Hi,
I have discovered there are over 500 villas on St John and I swear I have looked at most of them! There will be 6 adults going this Christmas / New Years so the prices are at a premium. We have decided we will most likely stay at one of these 3 villas. Can anyone give me input to help me decide which one? I have looked at cost, bedroom size, I know Ellison does not have a hot tub, location, they all 3 look very nice on the websites, they say there will be no construction going around the places as much as they know. I am a bit worried about the road and driveway of Astral and Ventosa. Please help me if you can. Thanks.

We stayed at Astral Villa in July 2006 and LOVED it. Would definitely stay there again.
You say you've got 6 adults, but don't mention whether that's 3 couples or some other configuration. Our group was 6 adults: 2 couples and 2 sisters. One of the couples slept on the trundle bed that converts to a King and said it was kind of uncomfortable and didn't meet up quite even.
That's my only warning about the place.
The driveway is VERY steep, but you will get used to it. One of our crew is a firefighter, so he was most often in charge of backing the vehicles out of the driveway (Oh, make sure you rent 2 for your group instead of just 1) but we all did it at some point or another without incident.
The pool is small, but big enough for a cooling dip and a little hanging out. You won't be swimming laps though. Having 2 hot tubs was nice.
The whole place is lovely, well kept, well equipped, the management company wonderful to work with.
