Direct Flights to STT

Post by Steve S »

Our 8 hour flight time from upstate NY has me pining for that year we flew direct from JFK in 4hrs.

Question - For planning purposes, what stateside airports have scheduled direct flights to STT?

Here are a few that I know-
JFK
EWR
BOS (sometimes)
FLL (Spirit)
ATL
MIA
PHL
CLT

O'Hare (ORD) has direct flights to STT - I'm not sure about on the way back as I have never been lucky enough to find one!

We've flown US Air non-stop from Philly in Feb. for two years now, however, upon checking for Sept flights from PHL, I see that they must discontinue the non-stops during low season.

United has nonstop flights from both IAD and ORD day 2467. On the way to STT it's nonstop and on the way back, it's a short stop in SJU (same aircraft).

When looking in the timetable (I work for an airline, so have access to the major airlines schedules) I also find a nonstop US from LGA on day 6.

Other than this I can't find any other nonstop flights and I was searching for April. You seem to have cover most of them.

right. mostly you have to connect in CLT. check the weekends, there might still be direct flights Sat. or Sunday.

This is what I found in the timetable.

In March one daily nonstop US-flight PHLSTT. I found this to be operating until May 4. After that nonstop day 6 and 7 until Aug 23.

In September or October there aren't any nonstop US-flight from PHL to STT.

In November they seems to start up again, at least day 6 and 7.

We had booked a non-stop flight out of Boston for our trip in April, however we were just notified by American Airlines that we are now stopping in San Juan, which put us in St. Thomas much later than we anticipated. Luckily we were able to re-book an earlier flight...but nothing direct. Major bummer.

Really? That stinks! We are booked on a non-stop from Boston on 4/26. I figured it was too good to be true for the price I got...I guess I'd better go check the itinerary.

Liamsaunt - your nonstop flight AA883 seems to operate as planned, according to the reservation system I have access to :) .

If you are on UAL 995 or UAL 1063 out of STT, you will be stopping in SJU on your return to ORD.

"Direct" does not mean "non-stop."

Northwest operates DTW-STT non-stop (return STT-SJU-DTW) Saturdays only mid-January through April.

Sun Country operates MSP-STT non-stop (return STT-MCO-MSP) Sundays only seasonally through April 6.

Liamsaunt, we hope for the same thing. We are on AA nonstop from JFK the day after you and we also hope it will stay as a nonstop.

This time we are going to Virgin Gorda though. I will be back in STJ in Nov :D
