Got tickets,now to find a villa

Ok we got our tickets for July . We are so pumped ,this is our first time actually staying on St.John . We learned from our trip last year staying on St Thomas. We are so pumped!! We have been really looking at the grat house villa. Does anyone have any info on this villa? We like the location and price. I have not booked yet so if you have any other ideas , let me hear them .Thanks ,and here is a link to the villa.

The house looks great but for me, I need a pool.Is that important for you?
When are you going and what is your budget? If you like the Gift Hill area, I am sure that we can find you something if you have other wants/needs.

Sillymom, is this house $3,500 in the time you are going? (July '08 ) That's how I am reading their website.

There are likely houses in that general area with a full pool/hottub/ac setup that are still open for your dates then, and even for less $$.

If you post more specifics on your budget/villa amenity wishes, and, ideally, travel dates, I can help you out with some more suggestions tomorrow.

Thanks for offering help . I dont know exactly that we want to be near Gift Hill. I just know that being our first time staying ,we want to be near Cruz Bay .The great house does have a pool that will be completed in March . My biggest concern about this villa was no reviews.Ac is a must for us. There is 7 of us going ,2 of which are teenage girls. My son is 10 ,and then 2 couples. Get ready for a ton more questions ,closer to trip time. Thanks again.

Here are a few suggestions, that look to be in your price range:

http://seaviewhomes.com/villa_villekula.html This is a very comfortable villa on the water in Great Cruz Bay. It comes with a couple of kayaks (which our group absolutely loved).

http://www.destinationstjohn.com/palm_hill.htm This one is also on Great Cruz Bay, but only 3 bedrooms.
