post your very first picture of the USVI

Post by sea-nile »

What was your very first photo that you took on your very first trip to the USVI? Some of you might have to get you scanner out due to pre-digital photos. Was it in the airport, in STT or STJ?
Here is mine in late May 2005. I "got it" from the ferry. I have been trying to get back as often as possible since then. We were going to stay at Gallows so I took this shot.

I'm not positive this is the first, but it's very near the first!

This is the earliest photo I could find...it is from our second day on island, heading out to Leinster Bay with our donkey guide. We went to Francis on day one, but apparently did not take any pictures!

Ladies from the beach cover up thread, that is the Lands End knee length beach cover up we were talking about.

My earliest photo of STJ is from spring 2007. Maho Bay from my floating home for that week. Click on the thumbnail to enlarge it. My first visit (10/06) to the islands was on Tortola, a year later I had moved to STJ.

Wow, I think my ex-wife might have that photo. I'll have to ask.

This is our very first photo in STJ. It's on the deck on our villa, which nomally had a wonderful view of Coral Bay. Did not have any view this first day.

This is the view another day:

Approaching STJ, feeling like I knew it already after prepping on this forum. Very cool feeling. :)

We took video on the ferry, but our very first picture was at Skinny's for dinner our first night. By the time we got to STJ, we hadn't eaten since dinner the night before, so we were on a mission for burgers! Here we are: pale, hungry, but oh so happy to be there!
