Easter Sunday Church Services

Post by Badger5 »

Hello,

We will be in St. John over Easter, and were wondering about our options regarding church services. Does anyone know where I could find this information?

Thanks,

Badger

Our Lady of Mount Carmel will have services but I could not find their schedule online. I am sure you could call them.
Easter is a big holiday at that church, be sure to dress approriately.
When I was a member of the parish, one of our long time members told a family entering the church on Christmas Eve that they may be on vacation but honoring the Lord meant putting on pants. :o
It is a great parish.

Badger,
what kind of church are you looking for? I attend a non-denominational church called 3Sail Church. Everyone is welcome. We meet in the Belvue Community Center near Gift Hill, 10AM Sundays. There is a Catholic church here, and a Baptist Church, plus others.

Edited to say, if you need phone numbers I will try to get it for you.

We would be looking for a Catholic Church if one was available. Thank you!

Our Lady of Mount Carmel is Catholic. It is a great parish, not your typical Catholic Mass. It will be a little more spirited.

Just past Wharfside Village on the corner. There is no parking, so you will have to find a spot at Wharfside or elsewhere in town.

X - just wanted to chime in about Our Lady's. I absolutely love attending Mass there - the parishoners are so involved; very refreshing to see. And yes, they dress for Mass; think Easter Sunday every Sunday. I'm looking forward being there for Palm Sunday this year.

This looks like the perfect place to attend Easter Sunday mass. We are very much looking forward to our vacation, and I think we will love the "spirited" mass for Easter. I think that our kids will enjoy experiencing something a little different than our everyday church service here. Thanks again!
