up at night?
up at night?
Does anyone else get up at about 3 am, and can't go back to sleep, so checks the computer, forum, e-mails, etc.
I do this almost every night. I check here, maybe PM someone, check my e-mails, e-mail someone, etc. It seems to help me get back to sleep.
Does anyone want to talk at 3 am?

Yes Sea nile!
It sometimes happens that I can't sleep for example a few nights ago, when it was full moon- think it has an effect on my sleep !!
I go up and check my emails and this forum. But I never send any email, feel a little foolish sitting by the computer at night. And the next day I'm very tired. Cannot understand how you can cope doing it every night.
But feel free to write to me at 3AM. As Maggy says it's morning here.

Sea and linne,
I sometimes go through periods where I wake up at 2 or 3 AM and am wide awake and can't go back to sleep. This usually lasts for a week or so. I am an early riser anyway - never sleep past 6 AM and am usually up by 5.
Lately I have been having a cup of chamomile tea in the evening 2 or 3 hours before bedtime and I've been sleeping through the night. I'm usually not big on home remedy stuff, but you might try it.

No, it's not just you with the moon. The full moon definitely impacts my sleeping pattern. I'm usually a good sleeper, I can sleep anywhere at any time (as my stiff neck is telling me today since I fell asleep on the sofa last night while watching the Oscars). But, when the moon is full I always wake up multiple times during the night. I get in a really bad mood also, which lasts until the day after the moon is full. Hmm...maybe the bad mood is from sleep deprivation!
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

I hate waking up at 3:00 am. It happens fairly frequently but I don't get out of bed. I end up tossing and turning and fretting. Every single worry seems to be exaggerated at that hour. By the time I finally fall soundly back to sleep, the alarm goes off. And then, when I get up, I can't believe I was worrying about the stuff I was worrying about when I was trying to sleep.
