Need Cruz Views Info
Hi everyone,
Trying to nail down a last minute deal for Cruz Views. Does anyone know:
1)Is there a washer/dryer at the complex?
2) We were warned about construction noise (I'm assuming from Sirenusa) - how bad is it?
3) Is it really feasible to walk into town?
4) Looking at unit #10, how good is the a/c?
Thanks!

I stayed in unit 10 last summer. The ac works great. We even got cold. The walk to town is fine, back up, no way. Besides being very steep, it's very dark at night. I would not do it. The construction noise didn't bother us too much at all. We were gone during the day. Unit 10 is nice, but I also stayed in #3 and the bathroom is wonderful and they have redone the kitchen. But the ac may not be as cold. We were there in March and it was fine. I like the view from the higher units better.

Hey, stayed there in 2006... Unit 10 is advertised as a "Platinum" Unit... It has the most privacy, but on the flip side you have to haul your cooler, bags etc. further (it's up and down some stairs)...The a/c worked fine for us and we are three chicks prone to the flashes!!.. it has been rehabbed very nicely and the kitchen has about everything you'd need as far as appliances/entertaining...The noise didn't bother us because we were gone just about all day... the walk into town is doable, abet slowly (it is a VERY Steep hill) but I would NOT go back up it...but a cab is cheap from downtown...we would have stayed there again but they went up on their rates...it is a nice little place for chillin'.. oh yeah... they do not have a W/D for guests...housekeeping only..
I'd rather be in the boat with a drink on the rocks than in the drink with a boat on the rocks
Noise has never bothered us in our three trips there but were gone all day. The hill is killer but doable done it many times our first trip now we rent a jeep. A great trick is to zig zag up the hill it really helps if ya get tired take a break your on island time. I hear ten is the nicest of the bunch.

I don't think you will hear any beeping. Can't promise, but I don't think so. I would imagine most of the really loud noise (rock busting) is completed by now. Hopefully the noise will be minimal. Like everyone said, if you get up and leave during the day, it won't be a problem. It's not the kind of place to have "villa gravity". I still think you need to consider unit 3. Very nice and less $$ and you don't have as many stairs to manuver (like Boats said).
Hey NancyB, we will just miss you, will be there March 9-15. Got a last minute discount on #10, which was all that was available. Also got to use our frequent flyer miles on the USair non-stops from Philly, which was surprising! Now we have to see if there are any jeeps to rent anywhere on the island...can't wait, never been there in "season", always go October/November.
