USPS Remarkable Shipping Time to STJ
As usual we decided to mail swim fins etc ahead so that we could avoid check on. WE also sent a second box with some Caymus but that's another story.
We use the Mail Center as our agent and just pick up the box when we arrive and are making the initial Starfish stop.
I mailed the box on Tuesday afternoon from suburban Maryland - it was delivered in three days! To us it's well worth the $30.00 plus the fee to the Mailbox....

Lucky you! I shipped a small box with sunscreen on the 5th and the only update that I see from USPS is that it left NJ. I have 14 days from today for it to get there so I'm praying I'm as lucky as you.
Curious to know about your Caymus...we were going to ship wine but opted out after several forumites advised against it because of the possibility of heat exposure.
My ticker is looking fabulous!

Hi -
I thought of that but just for a minute. I just don't think it will be exposed to the level of heat that would damage it on it's hopefully short journey. This time of the year it seems the only time it would be warm was getting from STT-STJ. The mail Center is air conditioned - not sure about Connections in Coral Bay.
And to be fair we only sent 6 bottles, 2 of which were Camyus, some Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay etc. I shop around to find decent wine here - with a fair amount in our cellar it seemed easy.
In that our local County (yes County) liquor stores don't "mark to market" like private stores might I can buy Caymus for the low's $50's with a case discount (although it's a special occasion wine for sure).
And theres the factor of knowing what we'll be drinking...
