Dohm's and rental car

Post by DHA »

We're considering using Dohm's for our May trip. I understand they dock at the Nat'l Park Dock. Can someone tell me approx. where that is in relation to Conrad Sutton's?
It's our 2nd trip (me, DH & DS1-5yr old& DS#2 will be 18 mos) but it's our first time using the private water taxi.

We've also got a group of newbies (3 adults)and depending on how the travel day down unfolds--1, potential 2 of those adults could morph into children :)

Thanks!

The Ferry dock for Dohms is a short walk from Conrads- there is a great playground right there at the ferry dock- usually my husband goes to get the car and I play with the kids on the playground and the reverse on the way home- hope this helps! (Dohms is the way to go- especially with little kids!!- its worth the extra $ for less stress)

We also use a private land taxi from STT airport to dock where Dohm's picks you up. Wouldn't have it any other way, especially with youngsters!! I think both can be arranged from Dohm's.

On our last trip we used both Dohm's and the Suttons. The two are an easy five minute walk from each other.

The dock is across the street from Morgan's Mango, if you know where that is.

Can anyone give more info on the water taxi. How much does it cost? Where do you pick it up on STT in town or Red Hook? Will it hold 5? Any other info that would be helpful.

Here's a link to Dohm's site: http://www.watertaxi-vi.com/

I'm not sure how many the boat holds, but the one we were on looked as though it would hold a bunch...12 or more. There were six of us and there was plenty of room to spare.

The dock in STT is almost directly across the harbor from the commercial ferry dock. Beware of the iguanas at the dock...they were a hoot.

Thanks for the link to the site and the info. Still trying to figure out which way to go. Has anyone taken the ferry out of Charlotte A. to STJ?

Thanks!
This made me laugh out loud, I can relate!

Kids + adult children definately makes Dohm's a good choice for you.

Dohm's must have different size boats because one time they picked us up in a large (25 or so passengers).
