Anyone ever stayed at Dorothea Beach??
Anyone ever stayed at Dorothea Beach??
Rented a condo for this summer and am concerned about the conditions of the beach. Most of the pics I have seen show many rocks and rough water.'
Guess that is what happens when you make a decision too soon.

I have not been to Dorothea Beach so I can't really coment, but here is some info for you. As long as you rent a car you can easily drive to the sand beaches but return to some wonderful private time

Dorothea Beach
We stayed at Dorothea Bch condos, but it was so long ago, that I doubt my info does you much good. I remember the beach was rocky and waves were rather large. They did have a nice pool tho. You really need a car. This was nearly twenty years ago when the condos were new. We had a second floor studio, we enjoyed our stay. There were no phones in the units back then, you had to use a pay phone at the office.
Hi! Gobucs notified me of the thread!
Yes, Dorothea Beach is a rocky beach and I don't recommend going in the water there (tho I have seen people go in). I DO go there often tho to collect sea glass and rock! I think you will enjoy your stay there as it is a nice peaceful area and nothing is far away! Hull Bay Beach is less than a mile away and then on the Magen's as well as many other beaches on the Island! You also have access the the large pool they have there. Horses roam the grounds as well. It is a nice area.
You also have Deano's restaurant above and also a local grocery store combo gas station (tho expensive) and also North Drop Restaurant on rt 37, Hull Bay Rd.
The only thing I can't tell you anything about is the condo you will be staying in! Do you have a web sight?
wvcatfan1, if you have any questions, feel free to pm me!
