What's a nice group activity in St. Thomas?

Hello-
My fiance and I are getting married at Secret Harbour on April 26th. We have at least 25 (but probably 30+) family members and friends that will be joining us. We wanted to do a nice group activity for them on the 25th after our rehearsal. Our wedding planner gave us a few suggestions that didn't work for various reasons, and now we're down to one: going up to Paradise Point for a few hours. I have heard that Paradise Point is pretty, but my concern is: is the view beautiful enough to entertain people for a few hours of eating and drinking? (we can't do the SkyRide b/c it will be closed by the time we get there on Friday)

Any comments or suggestions of activities would be appreciated, with the exception of a boat ride. (that was my favorite choice, but my fiance is dead SET against it

)

So how long are you looking at and what time can you start. Also when will you get to the island

Our guests have various arrival times. Some aren't arriving until Friday afternoon and the wedding is saturday in the evening. so we want the event around 5ish on Friday for before or after our wedding rehearsal.

Unfortunatley, what I think is the best idea, a sunset boat cruise, my fiance is against b/c he doesn't want anyone to get seasick beofre our wedding. i think that is nearly impossible, but he is really adament against it....

Just remember that if you start at 5 you will only have about and hour and half of light sunset will be about 6:30 plus with people flying in after a day of travel they might want to just kick back and take it easy rest up for the wedding I'd go with a sunset cruise even if they would get sea sick they will be fine the next day.

If you can't get him to do the boat trip, then I would say just have everyone meet at the Beach Bar at Sapphire Beach. You probably could get them to do some appetizers and a cash bar as to not break the budget. It's a beautiful setting, people can come and go as the please, it's close to your hotel but not at it

and the hard partyers can stay all evening and the lightweights can ride back to their respective rooms. Also getting 30 people from the East End to Paradise Point and back will be a logistical nightmare in my opinion.

What about a cocktail reception right at Secret Harbour? They have a beachside terrace that they could close off for your party. I have no idea what this would cost, but you could check directly with the hotel. With a steel pan musician and the sunset, you would have a nice relaxing evening. Plus, you can just walk back to your room!

First off, congratulations! Is there anything going on for Carnival? I think it will be going on during this time. (This could also create some added congestion downtown.) I agree with liamsaunt. Also, travel days can be very tiring and some of your guests may prefer to take it easy. The day before your big day, you too may prefer to take it easy and keep things less complicated. Good luck! I also agree with liamsaunt's suggestion: have it right there at Secret Harbour (you'll have a nice event plus less stress/hassle for YOU & everyone else).
