Getting around

I am planning my first trip to St John at the end of Feb. and wondering about getting around the island. I plan on renting a car but do not want to drive after a few beverages. Do the taxi's run late and are they reliable?

Any help would be great. Any other tips for a new visitor would also be welcome.

Have you already rented your vehicle? I'm hoping so. If not, do that asap!!

Where are you staying? If you aren't close to Cruz Bay, taxi service may be pretty difficult to find.

Looks like we will be in the Gift Hill area. We are finalizing that today. I didn't want to lock in a car until we locked in a villa. I hope I am not too late.
