We have started with the pool area with the palm trees everywhere and wicker furniture then our last trip sept.07 we bought three wall sconce lights like you see all over the island made by local artist Donald Schnell. Also in the office I have the Virgin Islands map hanging along with a picture from the North Shore over looking Cinnamon bay blown up to 3 feet by 2 feet.Yeah I would say we are hooked. Going back in 25 days.

I know how easy it is to remember your old friends when things are going good. If you don't check in on a regular schedule we will each pay you a hit man visit when we are down. Enjoy, Jorge
Jorge,
No worries mon. We will try to repay in kind the great information and help that we have received on this board and others over the last couple of years in planning this move. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

My mother painted this picture from a photo I had taken of Trunk Bay.
With this hanging on the wall above our bed, we go to sleep and wake up seeing a piece of St.John

Yep - Parafins, I'm crazy too. I have my home office painted in a beautiful turquoise blue color with St. John things all around. Pictures from above and below the water along with lots of fish sculptures on the walls. Like PatR's quote - take time for what soothes your soul - this room helps when I am not actually on the island!

For me, it's my home office. I have a framed old-tyme map of the VI's, pictures from our trips in a frame, a pic of the wife and I from El Yunque on PR, a painted glass "window" of a tropical scene, a big metal VI Pale Ale sign, a gecko and turtle climbing a wall, a beach sign and a crocheted sailboat that my grandmother made for me some time in the mid 70's.

Add to that my South of the Border signs, my Saddam Hussein currency (spirited out of Iraq by a friend in the Army), my army of Mr. Potato Heads, their assorted foot soldiers and a couch and it's a wonder I can get anything done.

Oh yea...I don't actually work all that hard. Don't tell my boss.
