Thats progress for ya. I'm a relative newbee to St. John and don't think its all bad. Those Villas most of us love wouldn't be there if it wern't for the people trying to make a profit. Actually I'm suprised that more has not been developed than has been, with so many beautiful beaches.( Thanks Mr Rockefeller)Still I'll probably be like you in 10 years and feel the same about the good old St John. I actually heard St John is more lush now than it used to be before Rockefeller purchased it and donated it to the goverment. Lets just hope the goverment doesn't sell out and let developers on the beaches!

I would like to see the thick bush and vines over take Sirenusa and become the Annaberg ruins of the 21 century! Sirenusa and Gand Bay Condos are projects being built by off island companies, no St Johnian wanted the buildings except for a few local officials who benefited in their development. Local newspapers are now reporting both properties are now having very big problems.
Peace,
