I have not stayed at Calypso, but I went through it with a realtor. It has two bedrooms and baths separated by a large living/dining area, with a very large deck with a hot tub. The villa has a sand "yard" with lots of palms. It is on the water, near Coral Bay, in the Johnson bay subdivision, if I remember correctly. I don't know how good it would be for swimming. There are a lot of boats anchored just offshore there. Ummm, I'm thinking marine toilets : (
They're not supposed to discharge close to shore...

There is a large parcel of undeveloped land just next to the house. It might be pretty buggy. (Also there were LOTS of cans of Raid and bug spray in the closets). That being said, it is probably very peaceful.

Hope this helps,
Captain Vic

We stayed there on our first trip to STJ and, but for the lack of a pool, would stay there again.

Equal bedrooms on either side of the living area. Clean, well kept, well equipped. No AC, but we stayed in December and didn't need it. The "yard" is awesome. The snorkeling is only so-so, good for something to do I guess, but not an amenity of the villa as far as I'm concerned. It's really easy to get to the beaches from there though. I love the area, the proximity to Shipwreck and Coral Bay. There is a house next door, but it is well screened by plants so privacy is not a concern. VERY easy to get to, no steep hills.

PM me if you have any other questions!
Jennifer

JJShaw,
There was a video of this house on on-stjohn.com a while ago. I don't know if you've already seen it, but here is the link:

Thanks for all the info guys.. I think we are gonna pass on this one..the bug spray thing has me wondering. It is Beautiful property, but I recieved an email from someone saying they had done a search and there was reviews that the owner would stop by unannounced  . We dont have anything to hide, but would like privacy  Afterall we will be without kids when we come back...although It may not be the same owner now, Im not sure...:)
