Post by sillymom »

we are looking for a 3 bedroom Villa near Cruz bay,10 or 15 mins away would be fine. We will be there during off season. Our Budget is around 3,500. Thanks for any help.Almost forgot a pool would be nice for the kids.

We just stayed at Eaglesnest. Review at http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/s ... 3645.shtml

I liked it.

If you are off-season definately look at 4 bedrooms as well. A lot of the places have tiered pricing so a 4 bedroom for 6 people may be the same price as a 3 bedroom for 6 people.

What ages are the kids? If they are quite young then you need to look for something with the bedrooms close together.

Cheers, RickG

Since our group has outgrown it (not like I know when you're going anyhow), I think Villa Haiku might be perfect for your group. I'm pretty sure it's on Great Cruz Bay road, and it's one of my new favorites. Very reasonably priced.

We've rented Andante by the Sea in Feb.....can't tell you much but it looks really nice, has 3BR, 3BA and seems to fit your budget. Plus, it's been a pleasure dealing with the villa company (Viva Vacations) and the owners.

How old are the kids? We stayed at Splash Cottage, it was wonderful with an indoor pool, which is highly unusual! We absolutely loved it. The pool is small, but really, really unique and fun.

The only problem would be if the kids were very young. The pool is very deep and you cannot stand up in it (there is a ledge though). There is also a gate at the pool, but it was not able to latch while we were there. It was not a problem as our kids were 7 and 10, but I was a little nervous if they got up at night half alseep(we just put a chair in front of it).

Also the 3rd bedroom is a crows nest, which was really great, but not good for young kids to be alone. I would say 10 or older for the crows nest, but then again, I am a little overprotective.

Really great place and within walking distance to the Westin.

I say check Gull Cottage right next door to Splash. It has a great sea wall and an amazing view. It's located next to the Westin and is very convenient to town. We loved it. Check Gull Cottage link.
