Villa Help!

Post by Lulu76 »

Hello, all,

I need some help with a villa, and I know that someone on this board knows.

I have looked at 20 million villas for our November trip. They have started to blur together, and now I can't find one that we really liked and would now have enough people to stay in.

This is what I think I remember about it. Tell me if you know where it is, or if I am just making it up in my brain.

This villa was 4 bedrooms, I think, plus it had a media room that had a futon or chaise or something to accommodate at least one other person. I believe it had a pool. It was in the area of our price range which is pretty much $4K or less.

I think it had a pool and for some reason I think it was in the North shore area.

I thought it was listed with VI Vacations, but if it was I'm not seeing it on their Web site now (unless I'm completely missing it). I also thought it might be on VRBO, but I didn't see it there either. I looked on Caribbean Villas and found some others I like if I can bring myself to pay that $5 fee, but didn't see the one I was looking for.

Does anyone know of a villa that fits this bill? I am going to see if I can track down my old villa advice thread because maybe someone recommended it, although I was pretty sure I stumbled on it myself.

Hi there. This is the only villa located on North Shore I can think of that would be around $4k/week. This one is $4500. Let me know if it rings any bells.

Villafish, that villa is on our "short list" (along with about a dozen other villas) but it's not the one that I'm thinking of. I have searched high and low, and my only guess is that they've taken it off the market, because I've retraced my steps and can't find it. It was a bit dated, so maybe they've taken it offline to change some things.

Oh well, if I am meant to stay there our paths will cross again. In the meantime, I am bookmarking the pages of all the villas I love!

Oceana is the one that comes to mind with media room but it doesn't seem to fit the rest of your description http://www.vacationvistas.com/2007/oceana.html

Not dated and not on the North Shore, but with a media room and in your price range ($4100 off season).

I'm thinking that other villa was a mirage because I've never seen it again. I'm inclined to guess it's not a villa anymore for whatever reason. I would know it if I saw it, and I keep looking and looking and I never see it.

I am falling in love with Sol Inclination, though. Definitely back on the short list.

We stayed at Sol Inclination last Oct/Nov. It is one of the best villas we have every enjoyed (St Martin, STT, STJ). Two seperate houses, pool, hot tub, upper house has a library on the gound floor with a fold-out queen, awsome kitchen...my mind wanders to a happy place.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Sol Inclination was going to by my guess, but it's not in the right location. That's where we are staying our next trip and I haven't found anything negative about it!

Happy Villa Searching!

You know how it is with the villa search. It may have been Seaview Homes, but for some reason my brain had me thinking it was VI Vacations. Regardless, I can't find it anymore.

It wasn't Mystic Ridge, but I do like that.

If I remember correctly (and I'm beginning to think I imagined the whole thing), it had a French or Italian sounding name. Definitely out of the ordinary, maybe a lady's name...

Seriously, maybe I dreamed about this villa that doesn't exist. I once dreamed that we were trying to get to our villa in a jeep going up this hill that had all these twists and literally went straight up into the sky. I could've just imagined a villa.

Except I showed it to my friend, who remembers it but doesn't remember the name or where we saw it.

That's La Jolla Caribe, in Catherineberg.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

I've always thought La Jolla Caribe would be a great villa. I think I could do without a pool to have that view :)
