Villas close together

Post by Jamestown »

Hi Friends,
Need your expert advice.....attempting to plan a family trip to STJ for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. I think we'd do better with 2 villas instead of staying in one gigantic one. My query: do you know of two pretty nice villas near each other? They don't have to be in walking distance of each other. Prefer Rendezvous Bay or Francis Bay area. Wouldn't rule out Coral Bay.

There will be 14 of us, 4 married couples, 4 teens and a 7 and 9 year old. A/C and pool a must.
Thanks.

This agency does charge an extra 5% service charge, but they have a nice line up of villas close to each other. Maybe it will help!

We have a large group going in June. We considered North Shore and Coral Bay. We decided on a couple of villas in the Catherineberg area. PM me if you are interested in that area.

How many bedrooms are you going to need? What is your budget? Do you have a preference for location (close to Cruz Bay, Peter Bay, Catherineberg, Coral Bay)?

Check out Vida de Mar and Sunset Beach - right next to each other on Dever's Bay (a very nice quiet bay next to Chocoloate Hole) I think the owners will do a deal if you rent both together. We have been to Vida and it's a great place! Here's a website with both of them together:

There are several villas near each other on Maria Bluff that might work.

I also think the folks that own Cloud Nine on Gifft Hill have several in that area that they will rent together.

Also, my friends and I looked at a rental on Fish Bay a couple of years ago that was an upstairs apartment, downstairs apartment and a stone cottage. He gives a great deal to rent all three, but I don't know what your group size is.

I know those aren't exactly the areas you mentioned, but maybe there'll be something that'll work for you.

Check out White Cottage and Cara Mia, both from destinationstjohn.com. They are right next door to each other in the Point Rendezvous neighborhood.

Thanks everyone for your advice.

No tight budget constraints. Do not want to stay in Cruz Bay or Fish Bay. Need at 6-7 bedrooms.

thanks again.

Palm Villa (through Caribbean Villas) and Cloud 9 are right next to each other on Gift Hill. You really can't see each other when out on the decks, but they share a very nice driveway together. Plenty of parking, flat, gravel area right of the main road. You can easily walk between the two villas from the driveway/parking area. Palm villa says they have 4 bedrooms but one of those is an open loft without a/c. Not sure about Cloud 9.

Happy Planning!

Hi Jamestown,

If you're looking at the Coral Bay area, Windspree.com seems to specialize in that area. Their map shows 4 villas in the Ajax Peak area. (It doesn't say how close they are to each other but you could ask.) It looks like Sea Glass and Dancing Dolphins both have pools, and would have a combined 7 bedrooms.

Monte Bay and Villa Rendezvous are next to each other in Rendezvous Bay. Villa Latitude is close by as well.

On Great Cruz Bay Road there are many to choose from. Palm Hill and Villa Maria are next door to one another. Oceana and Villa Bijou are across the street from one another.

I was also going to suggest Bijou and Oceana. The teens might enjoy the media room in Oceana and give them a place to hang out, away from the adults. It also seems very spread out which can be important with that many people. Bijou looks great and has 3 kings that all look pretty equal.

Just got back (12/27-1/5) and stayed in Satinwood which is at the end of the Majestic Mile. I actually made a mental note that if we could get a larger group together next year, there were three villas in a row that would be great to rent together. Dancing Dolphins, Sea Glass (both Windspree)and Great Turtle Villa http://www.gobeach.com/usvi/villas/greatturtle.htm. The all looked very well maintained from the outside and the location is great with a spectacular view!!

I would contact 3 or 4 agencies on STJ. Give them your dates and let them do the work of finding some villa combinations to choose from. I'm sure they can give you some good choices.
