St Thomas daysail with small children

Post by katie111 »

We are going to St Thomas for one day on a cruise. We've been to St John several times on vacation so wewould like to do something a little different than just going to the beach. We are considering doing a daysail in St Thomas. Has anyone done this with small children (ours are 3 & 4) or seen small children on the boats? Were they okay? I think my kids will be fine but want to make sure it doesn't bother other passengers. I know we could do a 6 person boat but I think we would have more fun with others on board. Some that we are looking at are New Horizons, Oh be Joyful, and Nightwind. Any thoughts on these or any other suggestions? We're debating between a half day & full day. It looks like Oh be Joyful is the only one of these that does a half day. Anyone know of any others? Also, how far is Sapphire beach from where the cruise ships dock? How much will the taxi ride be?

Thanks for your help!
