Post by Bob & Sharon »

Dear Caribbean Friends,

Has anyone here had ay experience with Trip Cancellation Insurance? We are contemplating a trip that must be paid in full and had a bad experience with a Trip Insurance company years ago.

Please answers here or email us at BobnSharon@doppstein.com

Thanks!

FlaGeorge & FlaSteph had to cash in on their trip insurance last year and had a very positive experience with the company they bought it from. PM FlaGeorge and I'm sure he can give you some good feedback.

I had to cash in on a trip to Italy a few years ago. I used Travel Guard and had no problems getting my claim paid.

We placed a claim with Travel Guard in 2003 due to my mother-in-law's serious illness. Some paperwork but went very well.

You can obtain a free, no-obligation quote for Trip Interruption Insurance from CSA by clicking <a href="http://www.csatravelprotection.com/?aff ... ere</b></a>. CSA is offered by a number of rental agencies in the Virgin Islands because they will will insure the cost of renting a private villa and offer (their "luxe" option) coverage for pre-existing conditions. If you do some comparison shopping, you will find them very competitive in their pricing. We have never heard of a problem with CSA (and I used them myself for my family's trip to the states this summer). Best of all, purchasing CSA trip insurance supports the Forum! (If you call them to make a purchase, please make sure to give them our Code #82819568 and tell them that the agent is VI OnLine - that way we get the credit and we can continue to make sure our readers get excellent coverage and service.)
Thanks,
Anthony for Virgin Islands On Line
