Torn between Tarn & Anole

Post by herewego »

Hello everyone! I like both of these because of the price for 4 (my husband and my two children) and location. I cant seem to find any pictures of Anoles kitchen. I will be doing alot of cooking on this trip. Or what the showers look like. Does any one have info or extra pictures you could share. Thank you so much, Carol

P.S. will be staying in Dec.

I have stayed at C Tarn several times though not for a few years and I've walked through Anole (but I haven't stayed there). Of the two house I'd choose C Tarn even though there is no pool. I doubt if you'd use the pool at Anole anyway because I don't believe that pool is heated and it would probably be too cold in December to use.

The view from the top really can't be beat. I don't believe either house has A/C in the bedrooms but in December you wouldn't need it anyway. The showers in C Tarn is really great.

C Tarn gets my vote without a doubt.

We stayed at Anole a few years ago in January and the pool was heated. The heater kicked on about 10 in the morning and it was definitely swimmable.

The kitchen was certainly adequate, we had eight people and cooked in every night.

Anole is tucked into the hillside so it doesn't have the constant breezes as Cinnamon Tarn does.

We stayed at Anole Oct. 04' and loved it. The views are excellent The kitchen was O.K. but there were just 2 of us it was rather small. The pool wasn't heated when we stayed there. We would definitely go back.

Haven't stayed at, nor seen, Anole but did stay at Cinnamon Tarn. Absolutely loved it. The showers are wonderful. If I could have built them like that in our new house here in the states, I would have. They are the typical island stonework (stone, mortar, & pieces of shell etc--if I remember right) but are kind of circular so you walk right in. Are a great size and just very enjoyable.

As others have said, the views are incredible. In December, their hot-tub would probably get more of your use than a pool. It's very large, & the view from it can't be beat.

The kitchen is very large, the views out to the ocean & islands from the kitchen & great room, & large enclosed veranda, are beautiful.

The kitchen, when I was last there a couple years ago, was very well stocked.

IMHO, you can't go wrong with this one.
