Virgins to STJ ?

Post by RED EARS »

New to site and my lady & i will be taking our first trip to STJ. Have a couple ? to start, hows the weather in mid June & looking at Villa Callaloo in the hills above Coral Bay. Not worried about the heat & lizards being from AZ. but what about bugs [skeeters]. Hows the water and wind that time of year. Last but not least, whats the deal about "nekkid" beaches, where to go so you wont get hassled or upset anybody. I'll have other ?, see what kind of responses I get. Thanks, EARS

There are no legal nekid beaches. We look for a villa with a private pool area for our nekidness.

Red Ears, my Lady and I stayed at Callaloo in April. There's the beginnings of the trip report at:

We liked Callaloo. If you are into clothing optional, its a great spot. If you hang over the lower bedroom railing folks driving by might get a peak.

On mosquitoes, there are only screens in one room. If its just the two of you then you can retreat there. But, the beauty of this villa is the openness.

For nekkid beaches, you could get a ticket anywhere. The last ones I "heard" about were $50 per person. In theory Kiddle Bay and Grootpan Bay are not in the National Park, so the rangers will not be checking. Grootpan is very private and you will hear cars coming, and they will NOT be coming fast on that road. That being said, we work on our tan lines at the villa. Callaloo was quite nice for that.

Cheers, RickG
