Polarbears have arrived

Post by PA Girl »

Our new Polarbear coolers were waiting for us at home last night and boy are they nice! Thanks to the several forumites that recommended them.

We got 6 sheets of techiice. I have a hard time believing that it works so well....? Haven't used it yet, it just seems too good to be true.

Trust me, they work! Our June trip we had flight delays that made it around 19 hours from when we left Boston to when our feet touched land on St. John. Everything was still rock solid when we unpacked the cooler.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

we got ours intime for our trip in December and loved the thing! We also bought the techni ice, but I will admit...I coudln't figure them out intime to use them/brign them! I didn't realize I needed to freeze them first......I was thinking they were the squeeze and they get cold sort of thing....ooops! So we have them here for our summer festivities!

The cooler really was awesome. It would still have huge intact ice cubes 24 hours later! For real!

Like the ice packs from the school nurses office! I can imagine that line of thinking.

I just received mine for our May trip. Again I send out thanks to Liamsaunt for the recommendation and the code for buy one get one. Can't wait to put it to use.

Love them - so many ways they come in handy! The first time we used them we had flight delays, too, and everything was still frozen when we hit the villa. We put them in the fridge when we arrive to help the fridge cope with the warm sodas and beer, etc. Really helps the fridge from getting overwhelmed and conking out. They also wrap nicely around a wine bottle to keep wine cold on the deck (secure with some rubber bands and cover with a towel for looks - lol). If your villa is on the warm side they are also great as a cool backrest or wrapped in a towel under your pillow at night. For a hot day out on the pool deck, wrap one in a beach towel and use as a backrest there, too. Once you activate and freeze them first you can also heat them in the microwave to keep food hot. Great for bringing takeout back to the villa. Coming home, we wrap them around the liquor bottles to provide great cushioning.

Great tips Margy - wrapping a wine bottle, absolutely brilliant!

We are so smitten with the coolers (we ordered the smallest and the largest) that I ordered the 24 pack size today for "everyday" use.

Hubs is tickled by the church key zipper pulls.

I also thank liamsaunt for the 2 for 1 coupon code. Santa gave us 2 coolers and the techni ice for Christmas.
